IMPORTANT NOTICE. Beginning October 1, 2009, the drop-off recycling program in Rock Island County area will no longer take glass. This includes The Village of Milan drop-off located at 451 West 4_^th Street. Current economic conditions have resulted in poorer glass recycling markets, higher transportation costs and too great a cost to process glass. For more information, Rock Island County residents can contact the Rock Island County Waste Management Agency (RICWMA) at (309) 788-8925, or visit the website at www.ricwma.org.   Please note - Village of Milan residents can still place glass items in their residential recycle containers to be picked up.
