The new Milan Village Hall will be located in a new facility at 405 East 1st Street as soon as April '08. The new building is designed for occupancy of both the Village Administration and Police Departments. The existing building at 321 West 2nd Avenue opened 50 years ago and previous building additions completed in the late 70's have not been enough to keep up with demand for space. The new building's design addresses all the community's immediate concerns and those to come within the next 20 to 25 years. With the recent opening of the Veterans Memorial Bridge at Carr's Crossing, the completion of the Rock Island-Milan Parkway, several housing developments in various stages of completion and other economic developments to come, the extra space will be well used. |
